If you’re new to the video and film industry, a high school student, a college student, graduate or are just looking to gain more experience in video/film production, our Jolt Camp in May is the best path to achieve the necessary skills in the production industry.
During the five day course, you will get the first-hand experience of the life of a production artist in addition to learning video and film business. Throughout the two-weekend course, students will begin with an orientation before the actual class begins. Professionally, the first class will start off with pre-production lectures and industry standards.
The students will, later on, get hands-on with our mentors who will take them through the crucial phases of production. This includes the pre-production phase, production, and post-production.
During the second day of class, the class will kick off post-production and students dive into its essential components involving workflow lectures. All students will get a live demo of editing, motion graphics, digital intermediate and post audio. The first two classes will comprehensively prepare the students for the main exams that comprise a full production shoot.
For the second week, the Jolt program will divide all students into teams each having a mentor. Each team will have the responsibility of producing a complete credited commercial from beginning to the end in 1.5 hours. It is crucial to be prepared and organized in order to complete your production in time.
The 12-hour production day will start early in the morning and wrap up late to thoroughly prepare our students for the field. The students finally meet up the following day for editing and presentations.
All students pursuing our course will get an excellent opportunity of learning tens if not hundreds of cinematic techniques. It will help you understand the art of filming that will jump-start your career. The course is crafted in a way that to help each student understand what it takes to be successful in the industry, how communicate on and off set and most importantly how find a job on a professional set.
Our main aim is to reach different groups of people and offer them great opportunities for engagement and training in media technologies. At the end of the program, each student will develop critical thinking, creative, and leadership skills throughout the collaborative process of media production and filmmaking. Our techniques factor in performance, mentoring and collaboration.
Filmmaking may take a lifetime to master, however, the Jolt camp course will start off your journey to proficiency as a storyteller, filmmaker and creative entrepreneur.
